Matt Kurth
Founder
Matt Kurth, an expert in tourism and recreation, is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Humboldt Cannabis Tours. From day one, Matt wanted to provide more than a California cannabis farm tour by safely connecting consumers with producers. His wealth of knowledge on all things Emerald Triangle led to the creation of a company that highlights everything Humboldt has to offer: music, art, cuisine, sports, festivals, farmers’ markets, and all things cannabis.
Prior to founding Humboldt Cannabis Tours, Matt worked as Aquatics Coordinator at the Humboldt Bay Aquatics Center and as a Trip Leader at Mariah Wilderness Expeditions, a pioneering whitewater rafting outfitter. Matt clearly has a passion for providing people with safe and exclusive experiences.
Matt received an Associates of Science degree in Outdoor Recreation Leadership from Feather River College. Afterwards, he obtained his Bachelors of Science in Recreation Administration from California State University, Chico. While studying and working, Matt has held many jobs in various areas of the cannabis industry. Matt is deeply committed to serving and bettering the Humboldt County community he calls home.

You will be chauffeured by our tour van, Mona. She is a glossy black 2015 Nissan NV 3500, can hold 11 passengers in three bench seats, and is equipped with a separate AC unit as well as rear curtain airbags, for comfort and safety. Our van is a critical part of our business and we go above and beyond the state’s strict maintenance requirements to keep her in tip top shape. Some say it’s the cleanest van in Humboldt.
